BURLINGTON, VT: Donald H. Nickerson, 79, of Burlington, Vt.., died Sat. March 12, 2016, at the Respite House in Williston, VT after a stroke on March 4. He was born on Sept. 25, 1936 in Stoneham, son of Herbert and Nedra Nickerson, and lived in Andover, with his wife of 51 years, Roxann, before moving to Vermont in 2010.
His field of finance and accounting led him to volunteer positions of treasurer for West Parish Church in Andover, and the College Street Congregational Church in Burlington. He loved photography and public speaking and put his heart into these activities, as well as his family.
Don is survived by his wife, Roxann, and three children, sons, Eric, and wife, Christine of East Windsor, N.J., and Kurt and wife, Bethany of Shelby Township, Mich., and daughter, Krista Nickerson and husband, Philip Pezeshki of Burlington, Vt.; and seven grandchildren. Don is survived by one brother, Paul and wife, Virginia, of Stoneham, and a sister, Evelyn MacKay and husband, Bill, of Ulm, Mont. Don was predeceased by his brother, Robert, of Redmond, Wash. He is survived by nine nieces and nephews and 19 grand nieces and nephews
