Major Jeffrey Mark's Story
Jeff was born in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Hugh C. and Elizabeth M. (McDaniels) Arnold. He was a graduate of Andover High School, the University of Massachusetts, and received his post graduate degree from Troy University.
He leaves four children, Ryan A. Arnold of San Diego, Patrick C. Arnold, wife, Sarah and grandsons Eamon J. and Cameron O. Arnold, of Oakton Va., Colleen M. Arnold of Richmond, Va., and their mother and lifelong friend, Paula Caselden, of North Andover. He leaves a brother, James R. Arnold, wife, Beth, and nephews, Rory and Connor, of Andover; a sister, Margaret A. Wedgwood, husband Bill, and niece Molly of Hooksett, N.H. He also leaves a daughter, Madeline Arnold.
For over 20 years, Jeff served his country as an officer in the United States Air Force, spending his career in the Office of Special Investigations. Following his retirement, Jeff continued service to his country as a civilian in support of Department of Defense operations in numerous conflict zones around the world.
An avid sports enthusiast, Jeff enjoyed following Boston teams and had a keen interest in history, travel, and spending time with family. He was known for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and love of his country
A funeral Mass was celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. John’s Church, 1 School Street, Townsend, MA 01469. The burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Ashby, MA 01431.
