PEABODY: Of Brooksby Village, Peabody, who was born and raised in Lynn and ived much of her life in Montville, Conn. where she raised her family and enjoyed a long career as an elementary school teacher and librarian at the Dr. Charles E. Murphy School passed away at the age of 98 on March 19, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Charles E. Murphy. Cherished mother of Maura M. Burke and her husband, William of Andover, Charles D. Murphy of St. Louis, the late Jane Baniewicz and her surviving husband, Henry of Lynn. Loving sister of the late Rev. Charles T. Duggan and Joseph Duggan. Dear grandmother of David Burke and his wife, Dara of Andover, Megan Burke of London, England, Caitlin Hoitt and her husband, Nathan of Derry, N.H., and John Baniewicz of Lynn. great-grandmother of Noah, Addison, and Adelaide.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 33 Pearson St. Andover on Tuesday, March 29, 3 to 5 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St. Andover at 5:30 p.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Marjorie’s name to Catholic Charities North, 117 N Common St., Lynn, MA 01902, or The Professional Center for Child Development, 32 Osgood St., Andover, MA 01810.
