Madison, CT — Marjorie Lois Pauk, 92, a lifelong resident of Madison, Conn., passed away peacefully on June 19, 2014, in North Andover, Mass.
She is survived by her children, John Paul Jr. and wife, Christina of Fayetteville, N.C., Arthur and wife, Dorothy of Plymouth, Mass.; and daughter, Marilyn May Whitehouse of Westford, Mass. She was predeceased by her son, Dale Joseph and sister, Elmira (Doolittle/Briggs) Daniel. She also leaves her sisters, Harriet Sutfin of Brookline, Mass., Anne Eastwood of Venice, Fla.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. Marjorie administered student loans for Guilford Savings Bank for 25 years before her retirement, and was a member of Rainbow and Eastern Star. Her life included many hours of volunteering at the Madison Senior Center and the First Congregational Church of Madison, instituted a senior prayer group at Free Christian Church, Andover, Mass., and enjoyed reading to kindergarten children in Madison and North Andover schools.
Marjorie loved nature and enjoyed it by walking with her Huff and Puff friends, and visiting many of the national state parks. She also enjoyed walking the beach looking for seashells to add to her extensive collection.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held at the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison, on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
