Mr. Alan D.'s Story
Mr. Alan D. Williams, a resident of Lawrence, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday morning, May 4, 2016, at the age of 51. He was born in Pensacola, Fla., on July 6, 1964. He was the beloved son of Louis F. and Theresa B. (Teixeira) Williams of Shrewsbury, Vt. Alan was a Senior Claims Adjuster for MetLife Auto and Home for 22 years. In addition to this, Alan was also a former and the youngest Exalted Ruler for the Lawrence Elks. A big kid at heart, Alan enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, telling his famous jokes, country music, remote controlled vehicles and spending time with his daughters, family and friends. Alan was the type of person everyone needs in their lives, he was truly one of a kind. He will be dearly and deeply missed.
Besides his parents, Louis and Theresa, Alan is survived by his loving daughters, Elizabeth M. Williams and Shannon R. Williams, both of Andover; former wife, Cheryl A. Williams of Andover; siblings, Katherine A. and her husband, Steven D. Arsenault of Fremont, N.H., Frederick L. and his wife, Patti E. Williams of Fremont, N.H., and Patricia and her husband, Raymond Berube of Danville, N.H.; grandmother, Mrs. Alvin Teixeira of Reading; uncle, “Uncle Lyle;” and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jo-Ann Mission.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours were held at the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on Monday, May 9, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
