Shirley Ann (McNally)'s Story
Shirley Ann (McNally) McGinty, R.N., 90, of Bradenton, Fla. and formerly of Andover, passed away on August 21, 2016 at home surrounded by family.
Shirley was born in Lawrence, on September 22, 1925 to Ann (Keefe) and William A. McNally. She was educated in Lawrence schools, graduated from Lawrence High in 1942 and St. John’s School of Nursing, Lowell, in 1946.
Shirley was the loving wife of John F. McGinty, MD of Andover who died in 1973. She moved to Bradenton, Fla. in 2001 and volunteered over the years at Manatee Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Patty A. Zittel (Steve) of Palmetto, Fla., Ann M. Dubrule of Asheville, N.C., and Jacqueline F. McGinty (Donald Smith) of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary J. O’Reilly of Andover, as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, N. Andover, on August 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Augustine’s Church, Andover, MA at noon with burial following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover.
