Stanton F.'s Story
Stanton F. Donnelly, 82, formerly of Andover and Lawrence Mass., died peacefully at home on August 14, 2016. Born in Lowell, Mass., he was the son of Leo P. Donnelly and Rita B. (Lanen) Donnelly. Stanton was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Merrimack College, and had a Master’s degree in teaching from Salem State College. He worked in the Andover Public School system, where he taught math at the former West Junior High School, until his retirement.
He enjoyed daily trips to the beach, traveling, reading, and all things baseball and historical. In his earlier years he enjoyed camping and traveling across the country with his family.
Stanton was the loving father of Joanne Donnelly of Manchester, Kevin Donnelly, formerly of Andover, Paula Donnelly of Andover, and Susan (Donnelly) McKelliget and her husband, John of Andover. He was predeceased by his son, Christopher M. Donnelly. Also survived by grandchildren Katherine McKelliget, Jack McKelliget, Jessica (Donnelly) Devine and her husband, Daniel and stepson, Liam, Trevor Donnelly and Ryan Donnelly.
His funeral Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 62 School St., Manchester by the Sea, Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends were invited to attend. Burial will be private. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
