ANDOVER: Dana N. Gould, 59, of Andover, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Lawrence General Hospital. He was born in Lawrence, May 30, 1956, to Richard F. Gould of North Hampton, N.H., and the late Ruth (Kinney) Gould.
Dana was proud of his Andover heritage, having lived there his entire life. A graduate of Plymouth State College, Dana founded and operated his landscape and snow plowing business serving the Merrimack Valley for nearly 45 years at the time of his passing. Dana, also known as affectionately as Uncle Buck, was a great son, brother, uncle, great-uncle and most recently, Grampy. He was the best kind of friend anyone could ever have. If a friend needed something, day or night, Dana was there. Dana played football at Andover High School, but most people probably didn’t know was that Dana had a great voice, singing in the A.H.S. chorus, Madrigal singers, South Church Choir and the Andover Christmas Messiah. Dana especially enjoyed spending time with Joanne, his long-time companion, hosting friends and family on their boat, Impulse.
Dana was predeceased by his mother, Ruth, and is survived by his father, Richard of North Hampton, N.H.; brother, Alan and his wife, Donna of Rye, N.H.; his fiancée and devoted companion of many years, Joanne Marden of Andover; his niece, Elizabeth of Salem; and nephew, Joshua of Boston. Dana was also so fortunate to have shared his life with so many great friends.
