Andover — L. Ruth Grant, 89, of Andover, and formerly of Roslindale, died on Thursday, May 1, 2014. She was born on Sept. 16, 1924 in Cornwall, England to Hollyberry Ferris and John Goldsworthy. She graduated from Mass Memorial School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for nearly 60 years, most recently at The Boston City Hospital and the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center for the Aged in Roslindale. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Grant. She is survived by her children, Donald and Emily Grant of Andover, James Grant of Dedham, Julie and Jay McLeod of Andover, Holly and Howard Senecal of Malden, and 10 grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Charles Dewhirst Andover Funeral Home, 33 Pearson St., Andover. A memorial service will be on Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at Ballardvale United Church, 23 Clark Road, Andover.
