Andover, Formerly on Lawrence — Mr. A. Kevin Alsup, a resident of Andover, formerly of Lawrence, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was 63 years old.
Born in Dallas, Texas, on December 24, 1950, he was the beloved son of the late Floyd T. and Eileen J. (Keenan) Alsup. Kevin was a very devoted family person and had been his mother's caregiver for several years. He was a real sports fanatic and had collected many sports-related memorabilia, especially of the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics. Kevin had served St. Augustine's Church as a Eucharistic Minister for several years. Above all, Kevin loved being with his siblings, and nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving siblings, Glen J. and his wife, Peg Alsup of Newton, N.H., Butch C. and his wife, Michelle Alsup of Salem, N.H.,, Paul Alsup of Delray Beach, Fla., and Julie and her husband, Kevin Willette of Haverhill. Kevin is also survived by nine nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine's Church, 43 Essex St., Andover, on Wednesday, June 25, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends were welcomed to attend. Visitation was held on Wednesday, prior to the service, in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main St., Andover, from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will be held in St. May Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. Donations in Kevin's memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
