West Palm Beach - Bruce Samuel Moody, age 76, passed away peacefully at home in West Palm Beach, FL, on January 6, 2026. He was born and lived in Andover, Massachusetts until he retired and moved to Barnstable, Massachusetts and West Palm Beach, Fl.

Bruce was the husband of Suzanne Valasunas Moody, father to Amy Moody McGrath (the late Michael McGrath), Jessica Wells Moody Toffey (John Toffey), and Matthew Moody. He was a proud grandfather to Jack, Lola, Tobin and Teddy Toffey (Jessica) and Anna and Michael McGrath, Jr. (Amy), all of whom learned early that giving their mom a taste of their own medicine was not only allowed, but encouraged by their Papa. Bruce was predeceased by his brother David Wells Moody, his mother Esther Moody, his father Durwood Wells Moody, and his stepmother, Jeanette Moody.

A Certified Public Accountant, Bruce was a brilliant man, who built his own accounting firm from the ground up, making loyal, lifelong friends along the way. In his 40 years in business, he used his passion for business to help his clients attain their dreams of running successful businesses through acquisition, mergers, sales and planning. He was happy when his clients were successful and when he was mentoring his employees. He loved golfing, skiing, fishing, boating, and watching various crime series with the volume on full blast. A lifelong baseball fan and thrill seeker, Bruce earned the nickname "Mad Dog", which suited his adventurous spirit and uncanny ability to make any gathering feel like a party.

He will be remembered for his icy blue-eyed stare, quick wit, and the way he could make family, friends, and even strangers feel like part of the fun. Life was never dull with Bruce around—and anyone who knew him knows he would want us all to celebrate that.

Bruce formed strong friendships with his care team after his accident 8 years ago, in particular with his nurse Joanne who led his care for many years. His family will forever be grateful for the care he received.

A celebration of life will be planned for the spring in both Andover and West Palm Beach.
