Andover - Andover - Concetta L King, longtime Andover resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 14th at the age of 99.
Connie graduated from Boston Girls School in 1943. She worked at Schraffts part time while in school at Bryant and Stratton in Boston. Once graduated, she worked at the Better Business Bureau where she made lifelong friends. She married the late William F. King in April of 1954 and ultimately settled in Andover where they raised 6 children. From 1972-1996, Connie worked as an office manager at Fidelity House in Lawrence, then spent six years on the Board of Directors.
For three years, she rang the C bell in the Saint Theresa's North Reading Bell Choir. She also served lunch at the Andover Senior Center until 2020 at the age of 93. She was greatly loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Concetta is survived by six children, Maryellen of Arizona, William (Jacquie) of Florida, Kathy Doss (Dan) of Salem NH, Susan Korsak (John) of Tyngsborough, Jim (Janice) of Ohio and Cindy (David) of Virginia as well as 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at Saint Theresa's in North Reading on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be sent in Concetta's name to the Andover Senior Center or Waystone Health & Human Services (formerly Fidelity House).
