Eli Freedman Obituary
Eli Freedman, a former resident of Swampscott and Sarasota, Fla., entered eternal rest on August 3, 2016.
Born in Salem on Dec. 8, 1918, he was the son of the late Sam and Queenie Freedman. He was the husband of 70 years of Thelma (Charak) Freedman.
He leaves two children, Rosalie Konjoian (David), and Ann Freedman; two grandchildren, Matthew Konjoian (Alexis Perlmutter), and Jonathan Konjoian; a niece, Judy Alexander; and a nephew, Robert Deutsch.
Mr. Freedman was a 1941 graduate of Harvard University, and served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. An avid golfer and bridge player, he was a true New Englander.
Eli's family is especially grateful to the staff at both Hunt Nursing Home and Compassionate Care for the loving care he received.
