Andover - Enid (Lichtman) Urdang, age 94, of Andover, Delray Beach, and Peabody, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. She was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late George Urdang and the devoted daughter of Nathan and Ruth Lichtman.

Enid was raised in Lawrence, where she later raised her own family before moving to Andover. She spent many happy winters in Delray Beach, Florida. She was a proud graduate of Lawrence High School and Bryant College, and devoted her life to her family.

She was a loving mother to Beth (Art) Shiro and Sharon Costin, and a cherished grandmother to Nicki (husband J.R.) McNair, Faryn Shiro (fiancé Mark Surber), Jenna Costin (husband Jack Brennan), and Ty Costin (wife Katie). She was also a proud great-grandmother to Abby and Lucy McNair, and Colin and Graham Brennan.

George and Enid lived in Lawrence from 1951 to 1974, Andover from 1974 to 2003, and Delray Beach until 2013, before moving to Brooksby Village in Peabody, where she spent her later years.

Enid will be remembered for her devotion to family, her warmth, and the love she shared with all who knew her.

Services will be held at Temple Emanuel 7 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover on Thursday, January 22nd at 2 p.m., followed by burial at Temple Emanuel Cemetery, Lawrence. Following the interment on Thursday, Shiva will be held at the home of Beth and Art Shiro until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
