Andover - Jane Marion Wakeley Johnson was born in New Orleans Louisiana to Philip Carmen Wakeley and Alice Alma Christine Carlson Wakeley on February 15, 1934.

Jane attended public school and graduated from High School and then worked for a year before going to Cornell University in Ithaca New York. At Cornell she received a Bachelors in Science degree and a Masters degree in Microbial Genetics. Jane met and married her late husband, Donald Edward Johnson, while at Cornell. Jane was a long time resident of Andover Massachusetts, where she raised her two children. Jane worked at the Hale Hospital in Haverhill as an Infection Control Practitioner. She was also involved with many local groups including League of Women Voters and Bell Ringing at South Church. Jane later became involved in many programs at the Andover Senior Center, especially the Quilting group, where she formed many friendships. Jane is survived by her two daughters, Laura W. Johnson-Kelly of Candor New York, and Gwenith A. Levanti , (husband, Gregory M. Levanti), of Bedford New Hampshire and Sarasota Florida. Jane leaves behind six beautiful grandchildren: Michael Levanti, Natasha Levanti (husband Edmund Gavaghan), Cynthia Kelly, Diana Kelly, Owen Kelly (wife Taylor Kelly), and Linnaea Kelly.

A memorial service is planned at South Church in Andover on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
