Andover - Louis E. Goldstein, 74, of Andover, formerly of Lawrence, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, after a long illness.

He was the beloved husband for 48 years of Elizabeth (Adelson) Goldstein. Born in Methuen, he was the son of the late Samuel and Lillian (Heifitz) Goldstein.

Lou attended Lawrence public schools, Lawrence Academy in Groton, Ohio Wesleyan and Suffolk Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor degree. For several years, he proudly served on the Lawrence Academy Board of Trustees. Always interested in helping others, he served as President of the United Way and Career Resources in Haverhill. For over 45 years Lou was a partner in Pacific Packaging, founded by his father. He took great pride working alongside his father, brothers and sons. Lou's love of Boston sports was well known. He especially loved the annual tradition of attending the Patriots Day Red Sox game with his sons.

Lou is also survived by his sons Andrew and his wife Susan of Andover, Marc and his wife Deviney of Milton; brothers Robert and his wife Sheila of Middleton, Frank and his wife Anne of Methuen. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Olivia, Owen, Benjamin, Seraphina and Jasper, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lou was a kind and generous man who gained the respect of all who knew him. He was greatly loved by his family and close friends. He will be missed by all.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 4 at 11:30 in the Temple Emanuel Cemetery, 202 Mt Vernon Ave. Lawrence. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford - Haverhill.
