Louis  Tisbert
Andover - Louis Tisbert, 88, of Andover, died Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Meadows in North Andover surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Andover on August 25, 1931 to the late Arthur and Olivine (Couture) Tisbert.
Louis was a lifelong resident of Andover. He was the owner of L. Tisbert Masonry, a successful business in the Merrimack Valley for over 40 years. He devoted his time to the family business, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 3 and was an accomplished breeder, owner and trainer of thoroughbred racehorses out of LC Stables. He was a devoted member of the Andover community which included his avid support for Andover athletics.
Louis was the widower to the late Claire M. (Hackney) Tisbert who died in 2007. He is survived by his children, Stephen L. Tisbert and his wife, Diana (Sciuto) of Andover and their children, Brian and Lisa; Joseph M. Tisbert and his wife, Anne (Raymond) of Cambridge, VT, and their children Jay, Ashley, Rebecca, and Jon; Ellen M. Allen and her husband Frank of Methuen, and their children Matthew and Timothy; Julie A. White and her husband Roger of Andover, and their children, Jason, Thomas, and Jennifer; and Suzanne Kearns of Andover, and her daughters Katelyn and Jessica. He has 9 great grandchildren.
Louis is survived by his brother, Robert Tisbert of Plainville, Mass., sisters Pauline Hilbert of Pelham, NH and Janet Girard of Salem, NH. He was pre-deceased by his siblings, Helen Rouselle, Lorraine Tisbert, Rita Nutton, and brothers Arthur, Alcide, Paul, Albert and Norman.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Andover. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. To the Tisbert Family , We are so sorry to hear of Louie's passing. He was Jimmy's inspiration to start his own construction business. His dad ,John Lynch worked for Louie , as well as Jimmy up to 1976. He was a great guy ..He had a wonderful family. God Bless you Louie , rest in peace.
