Exeter - Louise Talbot Pike, age101, widow of Rev. J. Edison Pike, of Exeter, New Hampshire passed away Monday, January 6, 2025.
She was born on January 3, 1924, in Lowell, MA to the late Cumner and Eleanor Talbot. She was a graduate of Lowell High School and Garland Junior College.
Louise was an avid birder and a very skilled needleworker. She enjoyed gardening and was a past president of the Harbourside Garden Club in Kittery, Maine. She was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America of New Hampshire and the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross. She volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and was a former counselor for Widowed Persons in York, Maine. Louise, being a minister's wife, was very active in the Episcopal Church.
Louise is survived by a son, Clifford (Nancy Jane), daughters, Elizabeth (Jim) and Margaret, daughter-in-law, Beverly, seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jed.
A service of celebration of life will be held at Riverwoods Retirement Home, 7 Riverwoods Drive, Exeter, NH, January 18, 2025 at 1 p.m. There will be a family graveside service in Andover, Massachusetts at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverwoods for the care and compassion shown to Louise while she was a resident.
