Andover - With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Michael P. Conte, who departed this life at the tender age of 40 on November 16, 2025, unexpectedly in his home. Born on September 14, 1985, in the vibrant town of Chelsea, Michael was the beloved son of Nanette (Rennie) Fournier and Michael Publicover.
Raised amidst the warmth of family and friendship, he began his educational journey at Mary C. Burke Elementary School in Chelsea, later graduating high school in Sandwich, MA.
For two decades, Michael called Nashua, NH, home before moving to Andover, where he shared a loving household with his mother, Nan, and stepfather, Marc Fournier.
Michael's professional life flourished as a pharmacy technician at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where his gentle spirit made a lasting impact on patients and colleagues alike. His kind heart also found expression through his volunteer work at The Humane Society for Greater Nashua, where he met his most cherished companion, the beloved canine "Elvis."
Michael will be remembered for his quiet strength and gentle nature. He found solace in listening to heavy metal and rock and roll. He enjoyed his favorite walks for a coffee with friends at Starbucks that brought a taste of joy to his days.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Russell and Dossie Rennie, and paternal grandmother Maxine Publicover. Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his devoted parents, Nanette and Marc Fournier of Andover, along with his father, Michael Publicover of Braintree. His sister, Abigail Fournier of Turner Falls, will forever carry his memory in her heart. Michael was also the cherished cousin to Sarah, Megan, and Jacob Lawrence, and a beloved nephew to Timothy P. Rennie and his wife, Carrie, of Merrimac; Lorell "Auntie". (Rennie) Lawrence of Berwick, ME; and Russell A. Rennie Jr. and his wife, Karen, of North Conway, NH.
Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Michael's life and share memories, love in his honor. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, November 21st from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Welsh Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea. His funeral will commence from the funeral home on Saturday, November 22nd at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, where he will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's name may be made to a cause close to his heart, supporting the welfare of animals.
