Beloved wife of Arthur S. Durling of Andover.

Devoted mother of Teri L. Chuha and her husband, Steve of Reading, Raymond L. Durling and his wife, Judy of Andover and Craig M. Durling of Los Angeles. Loving grandmother of Ashley P. Hart and her husband, Ryan of Reading, Lauren R. Chuha of Somerville, Abbilyn Chuha of Los Angeles, Bradford L. Durling, Michelle K. Durling and Tyler R. Durling all of Andover. Loving great-grandmother of Nora Lyn Hart of Reading.

Sandra was born in Medford to the late Muriel and Raymond Powell and raised in Melrose. She graduated from Melrose High School and Colby Junior College in New London, N.H. Sandra loved her family and spending time with family and friends, of which there were many. She enjoyed watching many hours of her children and grandchildren’s sporting activities, drama performances and life’s adventures. She loved to travel and spent many vacations with family on islands such as Bermuda and Aruba. Sandra enjoyed watching tennis in places such as Newport, R.I. and Indian Wells, Calif. In recent years, Sandra could be found exploring the desert of California with her husband, Arthur, and visiting her “baby” in Los Angeles. Sandra also spent many years boating and enjoying her summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, N.H.

A respected Real Estate Agent for over 30 years, Sandra worked with Norwood Realty and later Prudential Howe & Doherty Realtors in Andover where she developed lifelong friendships with many a client and colleague. Her infectious laughter and smile was a welcomed addition to every room she entered.

Interment was at Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Sandra’s memory to the ALS Massachusetts Chapter www.als-ma.org/.
