North Andover - Virginia (Jinny) G. (Doring) Heislein, formerly of Andover, MA passed away on February 10, 2026 at Edgewood Retirement Community in North Andover, MA.

Jinny was born November 24, 1932 in Cohoes, NY, the daughter of George E Doring and Agnes (Ryan) Doring.

Originally a resident of Troy, NY, she graduated from the Samaritan Hospital Nursing School in Troy. Following her husband Tom's tour of duty in the US Army Signal Corps, they made their home in Andover in 1957. After raising four children, she was a nurse in the Andover School System for many years. Following retirement, they lived in Salem, NH from 2006 to 2022 and then at Edgewood. She attended St Augustine's Church in Andover and was a Eucharistic Minister.

She was predeceased by her husband, J. Thomas (Tom) Heislein; her older sister, Marianne (Doring) Hancox and husband, Robert Hancox of Waterford, NY and brother-in-law, Theodore Taylor also of Waterford, NY.

She is survived by her younger sister Linda (Doring) Taylor of Waterford, NY, 4 children - Susan A. Heislein of Andover, MA, Richard T Heislein and his wife Dianne of Bolton, MA, David E. Heislein and his wife Diane of Melrose, MA, and Amy E. Heislein and her husband Matthew Atanian of Paxton, MA. She leaves 12 grandchildren - Julie and Tom Quinn of Peterborough,NH; Peter Heislein of Bolton, MA; Adam Heislein and his fiancee Jill Conry of Charlestown, MA; Emily and Kayla Heislein of Melrose, MA; Erik Heislein and his fiancee Sarah Vaughan of Manchester, NH; Stephen Hutchins of Andover, MA; and Adly and Simon Atanian of Paxton, MA. She also leaves a great grandson Michael Quinn of Peterborough, NH.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Edgewood and the Meadows for their wonderful care of Jinny.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, February 19, 2026 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 20, 2026 11 a.m. at St. Augustine's Parish, 43 Essex Street, Andover, MA. A gathering will be held at the St. Augustine's Parish Hall following Mass. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to either St. Vincent de Paul Boston in Lawrence, MA or the Alzheimer's Association.
